The slightly more complicated answer is maybe someday. Blizzard has, in the past, allowed people to move their Diablo 3 characters from previous generation consoles to current generation consoles when they came out - players could move characters from PS3 to PS4, Xbox 360 to Xbox One, and even fr0m Xbox 360 to PS4 and PS3 to Xbox One.
